Polyurethane Foam is used in numerous marine applications. The high strength to weight ratio plus its inherent resistance to gasoline and oil makes it an excellent choice as an integral part of the manufacture of boats, buoys, docks, and flotation devices. The adhesiveness of this product is superb, anything that doesn’t require foam on must be protected by masking.
In addition, a cubic metre of a nominal 32kg/m³ density Polyurethane Foam will support approximately 960kgs of dead weight in water, making it one of the best flotation materials around.

Boats fitted with internal buoyancy such as Polyurethane foam are capable of remaining afloat when capsized or swamped. This improves the chances of rescue and survival in the event of a disaster, particular in isolated areas or offshore.

Types of Applications

Polyurethane Foam can be sprayed or poured on-site or at our factory and systems can be tailored to meet most application requirements, Polyurethane is the choice of all good boat builders as buoyancy flotation in their boats.

We have a range of block foam supplied in 2400mm long x 1200mm wide x 25mm up to 600mm thick.
